Christmas shopping can be tough but we’re here to help out with some gift giving ideas that don’t break the bank. If you’ve got a fashionista in the family, or are looking for some gifts for yourself, these are all great options for both men and women. They are thoughtful ideas that are sure to impress whoever is lucky enough to open them on Christmas Day.

For extra wow factor, opt for getting these directly from the designer store vs. a department store like Saks, Nordstrom or Neimans. Designer stores typically have special holiday boxes, bags, and ribbon which will add an extra touch of extravagance to the gift giving experience.

Designer slides are a great gift option because they are a gift that someone will get a lot of use out of and are offered by pretty much every designer fashion house. Slides are typically made in full sizes only, and because they are an open shoe style they tend to be easier to guess correct sizing. We recommend sizing up, especially if you’re shopping for someone who typically wears half sizes as slides tend to run small.

Wallets can be more of a personal item to shop for, but if you know that your shopping for someone who would use a card holder over a full size wallet, or no wallet at all, these are great options. It’s something they will use every day and they’ll be reminded of you when they do.

When shopping for wallets material matters, if you know that this wallet will be tossed, and dropped - aka it will not be handled with care - then opt for canvas leather or saffiano leather options offered by brands like Goyard, Louis Vuitton, and Prada. These materials are more durable and resistant to damage. Leather like calfskin and lambskin are beautiful, but they will show wear, scratches a lot more in comparison.

You don’t have to get a fine jewelry piece to purchase a memorable gift for someone. Most designers offer a costume jewelry options that are still extremely popular. We personally love the Hermes costume jewelry because it’s plated rose and yellow gold which will increase the longevity of the piece. Other designers use a “gold finish” which admittedly, will not be as high quality in comparison to something plated. This doesn’t make it a bad gift option though.

The great thing about some of the options we have provided below are that they are reversible. It’s like getting two gifts in one! It also makes the gift more versatile and increases the amount of ways the person can wear it.

A rule of thumb when selecting belt sizes is to add 2” to the waist size and that should provide you with the perfect fit. Most designers size their belts in centimeters not inches so if you’re confused by the sizes like 80, and 100 that’s what those mean.
