Here’s how you can make the most out of this season’s Sephora sale.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, Sephora Savings Event time! This sale event only runs three times per year:

• The Spring Bonus Sale → Around April

• The Summer Bonus Sale → Around August

• The Holiday Bonus Sale → Around November

Just because we enjoy luxury around here doesn’t mean we don’t equally enjoy a good sale. Plus, if you save 20% you can spend 20% more for free - girl math.

Sephora’s Savings Events are typically broken down into 4 tiers. They always have a 30% discount on Sephora Collection products, then a savings % on all other products based on your Beauty Insider Status.

• Rouge Members Save 20%

• VIB Members Save 15%

• Beauty Insider Members Save 10%

To join Sephora’s Beauty Insider program is 100% free. From there as you spend more within the year you’ll be automatically upgraded to VIB Status once you reach $350 for the year, and Rouge status once you reach $1000 in spend for the year. Plus you get additional perks for each tier as listed below.

There are three pro-tips we can recommend to make the most out of these seasonal sales.

The First: Stock up on all your essentials and “non-perishables”. Given that most products we use on a daily basis will last us around 60-90 days if you’re able to time it right then you can always get your daily use products on sale. We always wait until this time of year rolls around to stock up on things like foundation, powder, concealer, bronzer and more. This is especially true of what we’re calling ‘non-perishables’ aka things that don’t have a shelf life but still need to be replaced throughout the year, like Beauty Blenders.

The Second: This is the time for big purchases like new styling tools. Dying for a Dyson Airwrap? Now is the time girl! If you know you’re in need of a new heat tool there is no better opportunity than this sale to grab one. These tools rarely if ever go on sale at other stores and are usually included (with a limit of one per customer) in the Sephora Savings Event. We never upgrade our heat tools unless it’s during one of these events because, why pay full price when you don’t have to?

The Third: Save trying new things for next time. We know it’s tempting to browse through the aisles and add a ton of new products into that little black basket because why not, right? Wrong. We all work hard for our money and the last thing we want to see you do is spend it on trendy stuff you’re never actually going to use. Unless you really need those 3 Urban Decay eyeshadow palettes, spend your money more wisely on the items we suggest above. We want to take advantage of the sale, not let the the sale take advantage of us.
