Unfortunately it seemed Chef Gigi was the only one feeling like Italian that day.

A little millennial throwback for you today. Chef Gigi’s restaurant in Rome was so popular that the boys of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody weren’t able to get a table at the restaurant until 15 years later. Zack and Cody made a reservation for two on November 16th, 2023 at 7:30pm. Yep, it’s been 15 years since that episode.

Naturally, a few days before November 16th, fans took to social media to remind actors Cole and Dylan Sprouse about their upcoming reservation. Unfortunately, the reaction from Cole and Dylan were poorly received by fans. One TikToker made a reaction video suggesting that if this was the best they could do, they shouldn’t have done anything at all - yikes. That sentiment seems to be shared by fans across the board. Was this a comedic reaction gone wrong or just lack of enthusiasm towards the outpour from fans of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody?

Here is Cole’s reaction, a screen recording of his DMs showing how many people sent messages about the reservation.

Dylan posted a similar story, showing random quotes of types of messages that he’d been receiving on his social media - with an overwhelmed face.

While neither of the guys have confirmed the intention of their reactions, fans are not pleased. They feel the reactions are essentially brushing off a nostalgic moment that people all over the internet got together to celebrate.

Thankfully Chef Gigi understood the assignment. She decided to make her first TikTok ever, on November 16th. Her reaction video has an overwhelming amount of support and love, getting over 18M views in the past 5 days, along with 3.3M likes, and over 8,000 comments.

We feel pretty confident that this comment on her video says what we’re all thinking “It’s sad because I remember watching this episode as a kid! And thinking how INSANE that date sounded. Now it’s here???”

Even though the guys seemed to have missed their reservation, it was great to see Chef Gigi thriving and ready to seat their table. Maybe they can reschedule for 2038?
